Grocery Shopping with a Mindset

Today, I went to the grocery store with the mindset that most of what I was going to get would be healthy foods, and I would only buy a minimal amount of processed.

Around here, we have an Aldi. I freaking love that store. Why?

Two reasons:

  1. I bought FIVE bags of groceries for $50. Need I say more about that?
  2. I love their organic line, Simply Nature. So much affordable than organic foods at other stores.

I wish I would have taken a pic of my groceries, but of course, I didn’t even think of it. SMH! I’ll get better at this blogging thing eventually.

Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way

Ain’t that the truth! ūüėČ

This week has been super good for me as far as health and fitness go.

I started working out on the 24th, and have worked out a total of three days so far. findawayI took Tuesday off because I was pretty sore. Two of those days, I actually got my ass out of bed at 3:30 a.m. (AM,people!) and got my workout in before work. What I discovered by doing that is when I set my mind up to do something, it gets done. I also discovered that by doing my workout first thing in the morning, it gets done. I am the worst procrastinator, so I think this works out best for me during the week.

Starting Over with Fitness

Starting over with fitness is the easy part, contrary to what people say.¬†Making it a lifestyle change for eternity is the hard part. I’ve started and stopped so many times, it’s ridiculous. I had big goals at the beginning of this year. Lose 45-50 pounds. Get in great shape. Be a better person. Yada, yada, yada.

I wasn’t serious about it at all. I thought I was, but you are not serious about a big goal if you never do what it takes to achieve it.
